As a part of the economics of agriculture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the agricultural economy plays an important role in defining the economics of agriculture, particularly when it comes to studying the economic variables in the agriculture sector.
The Department of Food Science and Nutrition is the Kingdom's pioneer and leading department in the fields of Food Science and Human Nutrition. The department has earned a reputation as a Center of Excellence in academics and research over the years. The department's goals are to cultivate scientific talent, provide technical help to stakeholders, and provide community development services. We see novel research in nutrition, food processing and preservation, and food safety as stepping stones to success. Over the years, our graduates have proven to be a source of pride for the university while also making significant contributions to national growth. Welcome to the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, I hope you find this portal useful when you visit it. The Department of Food Science and Nutrition is one of the leading academic departments of King Saud University and is working to enhance knowledge and contribute to the professional life of university students and seeks to serve the community in the field of Food Science and Nutrition. We have a selection of faculty members in all disciplines and students in various stages of the bachelor's degree, master's and doctorate program. The Department has also received numerous awards and patents. Approximately 80 research papers are published annually in prestigious international journals in various fields of research, including food chemistry and technology, food safety, food microbiology, grain and dairy sciences and technology, food additives and nutrition. Nutritional vitality, nutrient interactions, genes, obesity research, biologically active compounds and their biological role, we are creating an interactive electronic magazine aimed at serving the community and enriching and disseminating nutritional information and healthy scientific nutrition.
