Mission :

Providing high-quality academic programs for the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels that contribute to building knowledge in the fields of food science, nutrition, and food security, and activating local and global partnerships.


Vision :

Global leadership and excellence in teaching, learning, scientific research and community service in food sciences, human nutrition and food security.


  • Objectives :

  • Qualifying graduates of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition scientifically and intellectually by providing them with the knowledge and skills that qualify them to be qualified researchers and specialists with the aim of contributing to the management, organization and implementation of development programs in general and food development and food security in particular.
  • Providing appropriate solutions to overcome the problems of Saudi society in the areas of food, nutrition and food security, and the challenges facing food companies, through conducting scientific and applied research and organizing training courses.
  • Keeping up with modern scientific research trends and applying them in local conditions, through participation in scientific conferences and seminars at home and abroad and research cooperation.
  • Creating a creative environment by providing advanced research laboratories that apply quality standards.
