1. Identifying challenges that would prevent the production of high quality research pertaining to issues of strategic goals and objectives in the field of agriculture and to support academic and applied research in its various aspects.

2. Encouraging faculty members to identify undergraduate and postgraduate research opportunities in the various fields and subfields of agricultural sciences using natural resources in the Kingdom in order to solve local problems.

3. Encouraging staff members to contribute to the advancement of scientific research in the field of agriculture through the publication and/or translation of research articles in this field.

4. Exchanging expertise, creating appropriate climate for research and coordinating with different research organizations.

5. Inviting research papers for publication in the Center’s refereed journal.

6. Monitoring and reviewing research grants funded by the Agricultural Research Center.
