بدأ نشر الأبحاث بالقسم بعد تأسيسه عام 1965 بست سنوات بعد مرحلة التأسيس وتكوين الكوادر التعليمية والبحثية وذلك عام 1972. تواصل نشر الأبحاث حتى بلغت مايزيد على 70 بحثا خلال العام 2013. بلغ إجمالي الأبحاث المنشورة للقسم منذ تأسيسه 549 بحثا.
