Bachelor of Science in Plant Production Sciences
The department offers a BSc. Degree in Plant Production Sciences (see below). Students are required to successfully complete 138 credit hour courses as follows:
- University course requirements totaling 12 credit hours. These are composed of Islamic culture courses and Arabic language courses.General college course requirements equivalent to 44 credit hours. These are general agricultural courses, one English language course and basic science courses.
- Department course requirements totaling 82 credit hours of which 17 credit hour courses are taken from outside the department.
- Students must spend a continuous period of one semester plus a summer-long internship in a co-operative training program (PPS 400) to be arranged with several agricultural firms. Alternatively, students whom for whatever reason, are not able to take the co-operative training program should register for 12 credit hour courses. In this case, they should have completed 22 credit hour courses from outside the department and only 60 credit hour courses from inside the department.
